1851 census William Jenkins 38 born: Llandinam, Montgomeryshire, is living at Cnfncaled, Cloddie (Cloddie, a township in the parish of Kerry, in the county of Montgomery, 2 miles E. of Newtown). He is a farm labourer

He is living with his wife Elizabeth Jenkins 35 born: Aberhafesp, Montgomeryshire, and children (all born in Kerry, Newtown) Thomas Jenkins 12, William Jenkins 9, Mary Jenkins 6, Sarah Jenkins 3, Ann Jenkins 1.

Their children Elizabeth (who would have been 16) and John (who would have been 14) are not given as living with the family. Most probably they are living away from home and working. In fact Elizabeth reappears in the next census.
